The main feature is the high proportion of naturally sweet sun-cured tobaccos in the blend-over 40%. Only 30% Virginia leaf with the rest of the blend coming from burleys and dark-air cured contribute to a strong, but rewarding smoke. The whole blend is cased in maple sugars to further enchance the natural sweetness of the sun cured leaf and then rounded off with a dash of rum.

Bosun Cut Plug
With only slightly over 50% flue-cured Virginias from Brazil, Zimbabwe and Malawi, and 31% dark fired leaf, this is a fairly strong smoke. The addition of some sweeter sun cured leaf from Malawi, and the rich cigar type notes from the dark air cured Indian grade help to round off the blend. The special Virginia casings complement the top notes derived from the addition of sharper flavours including oil of cloves and rose geranium.

The main characteristics of this flake come from the 8% Latakia included in the blend and the smooth chocolate aroma. Brazilian, Zimbabwe and Malawi Virginia leaf make up 82% of the blend providing a mellow/medium smoke cooled with the addition of 8% Malawi sun cured and 2% Malawi Burley. The Latakia cools but also adds strength and aroma. The cocoa casings and chocolate top flavors are rounded off with vanilla and other flavors providing sweet notes in this very unique and popular blend from Gawith, Hoggarth & Co.
