MEERSCHAUM PIPES are made from the mineral sepiolite. The purest form of meerschaum, German for (foam of the sea), is found in underground deposits in central Turkey. Mined from depths up to 400 feet; once carved by expert craftsman provides a cool, dry, and flavorful smoke. With time and use, meerschaum pipes gradually change color in incremental shades of yellow, orange, red, and amber.
